What is 'White Henna'?

That was my first question when I started seeing these pictures of beautifully tanned women with striking white 'henna' tattoos. I make my own henna, so I KNOW that couldn't be real henna. So what is it?
I found a website that sells henna supplies (powders, oils, etc.) and stumbled onto their White Henna section. ITS ADHESIVE. Right. It's just glue.
But of course, since this is going on your skin for a lengthy time (a week or more) you can't just have any glue. This is the same kind of glue used to hold prosthetics in place. Also, used in movies. So I feel safe putting it on my skin.
So, now to the fun part. If it's just glue, how do you color it? Powders! There are a lot of finely ground, cosmetic use powders for sale on Amazon. Any color you can think of, metallic included. You just wait for the design to get tacky, and dust it with powder. Think of all the different designs, with all the colors.
Endless possibilities!
